Programmer's Day is a holiday celebrated in many countries, usually on the 256th day of the year. It commemorates the contribution of programmers and IT specialists to the development of technology. In turn, Tester's Day, usually celebrated on September 9, aims to emphasize the importance of testers and their role in creating product quality. Since these two environments are constantly connected at Harman, the company decided to go ahead and organize its own celebration.
On September 13, a unique event took place at Harman - Programmer and Tester Day. This holiday was intended to express gratitude to the company's employees for their constant commitment and effort put into creating innovative solutions.
The main point of the program were two lectures given by experts from the company. The first one was delivered by Marcin, Director of the Product Innovation team at Harman, who connected with the rest of the team remotely from Garching, Germany. His speech focused on presenting how innovations are introduced in the Harman Automotive department.
The second lecture was also given by Marcin, this time Principal Engineer at Harman in Łódź, who in turn focused on discussing the applications of Chat GPT technology in the everyday work of programmers. Marcin shared his experiences and pointed out how the use of AI can help create more advanced and intelligent solutions.
After these interesting lectures, employees who decided to work from the office that day met for refreshments prepared especially for this occasion.
