Mobility of the future – what is it? Scientists and experts will look for answers to this question, fundamental for the automotive industry. We invite you to the meeting "Mobility of the future: exchange of experiences and integration of aviation and automotive companies with the participation of the Lodz University of Technology", which will be held on September 29 at 11.00 in the Senate Hall of the Lodz University of Technology, located in the Alchemium building.
The event program will include: presentations of company development prospects: Tom-Tom (navigation systems), ZF (autonomous vehicles, vehicle security systems), Airbus Helicopters (construction and operation of vehicles, including electric and autonomous), MakoLab (Connected Car technologies), Harman (5G and ICT technologies), Forvia (construction and operation of vehicles).
It will be an important element of the meeting discussion on the mobility of the future and the education of staff competent in this field, especially:
- current and future trends in the development of mobility,
- transport infrastructure in large agglomerations on the example of the city of Łódź,
- tripartite cooperation: Lodz University of Technology - industry - City Hall.
By 2050, two-thirds of the world's population is expected to live in urban areas. The total number of kilometers traveled in cities will triple compared to the current situation, and more than 17% of the planet's biological potential will be used for urban mobility. It will no longer be possible to meet the growing demand for mobility of people and goods in urban areas only by expanding infrastructure.
In response to these needs,Łódź University of Technology offers Future Mobilty second-cycle studiesat the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the International Education Center (IFE). As Dr. Hab. says: engineer Damian Batory, prof. TUL and chairman of the field of study council:
This new and interdisciplinary field of study is the Lodz University of Technology's response to the dynamically changing demand of the mobility market not only in Poland, but also around the world. Its aim is to educate specialists in the design, optimization and management of current and future mobility infrastructure in the aspect of creating new, efficient, safe and environmentally friendly transport.
